No Pigeonholes Archives hosted by Don Campau www.doncampau.com My radio show, “No Pigeonholes” has been broadcasting home recorded, underground and independent music in many styles since 1985 on KKUP in Cupertino. The shows are good compilations of the home taper/ cassette underground movement that existed at the time. Some of the fidelity is occasionally less than perfect but on the whole, the sound is pretty decent. Hear the latest program here: http://doncampau.podomatic.com/ In conjunction with KKUP's celebration of International Women's Day in 1988, Jack Jordan and myself hosted a two hour special presentation of "No Pigeonholes" featuring underground and home produced women's music. As far as I know, there had never been a show focusing on this aspect of the home taper movement before. I thought the program came out well and offered to do another show the next year. However, the people running the Women's Day programs rejected the idea because they did not want any male voices on the air. Fine, I said, I can give you the music and you can announce it and play it any way you want.
