In conjunction with KKUP's celebration of International Women's Day in 1988, Jack Jordan and myself hosted a two hour special presentation of "No Pigeonholes" featuring underground and home produced women's music.
As far as I know, there had never been a show focusing on this aspect of the home taper movement before.
I thought the program came out well and offered to do another show the next year. However, the people running the Women's Day programs rejected the idea because they did not want any male voices on the air. Fine, I said, I can give you the music and you can announce it and play it any way you want. They rejected this notion as well and from that time on this important segment of women's music has been excluded.
